I haven't really truly prayed in a while. This morning my head was filled with anger at the state of church and what it has done to my family, trepidation about the interview, discontent with my current job. So many disquieting feelings. I simply thought, 'God, please send me some kind of sign.' I changed the radio station and a song by Swedish House Mafia was on. The chorus goes like this:
"Don't you worry,
don't you worry child.
See heavens got a plan for you."
Yeah.

ReplyDeleteI went through a time of never praying...all the stupid, human church carp is so immediate and in one's face that, for me, it got easier to direct my aggravation at God or at least lump him in with the junk. It's really amazing how much God loves us and that he can take it when we're mad, or not speaking to Him.
I'm really glad you shared this. Things are better for me but I had a scary panic attack today that made me feel like just giving up. I'm encouraged by this...thanks!
